On Set

Privacy

Last updated 26 August 2026

On Set has not opened yet. The only thing this site does is take your email address for the waitlist, so this page is short — it describes that and nothing else.

Who we are

On Set is the data controller for everything described here. If you want anything below acted on, write to privacy@onsetapp.co.uk and a person will read it.

What we collect when you join the waitlist

We do not ask for your name. There is no name field on the form and nothing is inferred from your email address.

About that IP hash

The form needs some way to notice that five submissions came from the same place within an hour, or anyone could fill the list with junk in a minute. The usual way to do that is to store the IP address. We don't.

Instead the address is combined with a secret value and put through a one-way hash, and only the result is stored. It cannot be turned back into an address — not by us, not by anyone who obtained the database. It is good for exactly one thing: telling whether two submissions came from the same place. The address itself is never written down.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and carries no advertising pixels. There is no Meta pixel, no Google Analytics, no advertising network, and nothing that follows you to another site.

We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless — it stores no identifier on your device and builds no profile of you. We see how many people opened a page, not who they were.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Who else touches it

Two companies, both acting on our instructions: Vercel hosts this page and provides the visitor counts, and Railway hosts the database the waitlist is stored in. Both may process data outside the UK. When we choose an email provider to send the launch message, it will be named here before anything is sent.

We do not sell your data. There is no arrangement under which we would.

How long we keep it

Until On Set opens and you have been told, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. If you never want the email, say so and the row goes.

What you can ask for

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us holding it, or ask for it in a portable form. One email to privacy@onsetapp.co.uk does any of them, and it costs nothing.

If we handle that badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If any of this changes in a way that matters, we will say so here and move the date at the top.
